Us 5 kids used to tease her that she was giving all of our inheritance to Jeanne!!! My Mom passed away right before Christmas this past year. It was sudden and unexpected. While we continue to go through her home, we still find QF clothing still wrapped neatly in their bags.
A lifetime would not have been enough time to wear all of her Quacker finds. We buried her in her favorite Quacker Factory Christmas Sweater, Turtleneck, leggings and matching socks. She told each of us several times that it was her wish. She also sent me a personal note.
Jeanne was a woman of inspiration, dignity, class and empathy. She made you feel like her friend and her fans adored her. Her legacy will live on as long and the last piece of her love infused clothing is in existence. QVC will not be the same without her or her presence!
God Bless you Jeanne. My Mom is waiting for you. Donna that was beautiful. I started with QF maybe 10 yrs ago and just enjoyed her shows, then I started ordering and ordering. I could only wear so much, so I ordered for my girls too, at Christmas. Valentines Day, Easter. But it was funny cuz u got to recognize her clothes easily.
One very busy day at work, there were lines all over the place DMV I saw a women in capri-set pants and top with popsicles all over. And being the person I am I yelled across the room Quaker Factory and she started laughing and then all these people are asking what I was talking about and we were telling them and the whole place got in a better mood. No word as to whether Jeanne would be buried in her headband or if her sparkly, multicolored Quacker Factory clothes will continue to be sold on her beloved QVC.
The other news story is that former talk show host and current infomercial impresario Montel Williams has opened up a medical marijuana club in Sacramento, California. Can Mick Hastie not get in on this one? Comment by Sam on June 16, at pm.
Second, Montel needs to just say no. He claimed that his MS symptoms were diminished because he guinea pigged himself for a year and started his day with a drink made with his crappy, Vitamix knockoff. He helped his MS by starting his day with a doobie, and pigging himself out on pot-laced food. Comment by Kittyluver12 on June 16, at pm. Jeanne Dick Bohs and Nancy Close; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by all that knew him. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Visitation will also be on Friday from AM until the time of service at the J.
